Highway Truck Sales Representative

Reporting to the Highway Truck Sales Manager and based at Kewdale, this position will be responsible for achieving budgeted Truck Sales in New and Used. You will be required to develop and maintain close, ongoing customer relations within assigned territories, whilst actively prospecting for new opportunities in the market.

WesTrac – the Caterpillar Dealer for WA, NSW & ACT is now marketing the New Caterpillar On Highway Truck. We are seeking suitably experienced and motivated applicants for this position.

Leveraging the much renowned product support capability of WesTrac and the strengths of the parent companies of Caterpillar and Navistar our goal is to deliver industry leading truck transport solutions.

Your main responsibilities will be, but not limited to:
•    Maintain customer requests and dealership requirements
•    Maintain sales and customer calls through WesTrac dedicated programs
•    Provide preliminary Truck/Tender specifications to customers, which addresses their general technical and commercial questions as well as covers support service information (training provided if required)
•    Ensure all representations on behalf of WesTrac and its products / services are made honestly

Essential Criteria:
•    Strong product knowledge
•    Excellent organisation, communication and negotiation skills
•    Understanding of the Highway Truck industry
•    Demonstrate creativity and initiative in problem solving
•    Ability to work unsupervised
•    A dedicated attitude to safety and Quality policies and procedures
•    Customer and company focused
•    Experience in sales and marketing.

Preferred criteria:.
•    Mechanical background
•    Experience within the Highway Truck industry
•    An understanding of Highway Truck and Government Markets.
