Senior Business Intelligence Consultant - Ajilon

We are looking for an experienced Business Intelligence Consultant to assist with establishing an information governance plan and templates to facilitate the information governance processes, including:

•    Development of an Information Governance Charter.
•    Assist with the technology deployment for the strategic BI environment including:
•    The delivery of “backend” extract, transform & load (ETL) datastage transformations
•    The delivery of “front end” COGNOS reporting applications
Design a strategy for developing the competency centre from establishment to fully maturity
Design an plan a BI architecture including the evaluation and selection of BI tools
Plan and manage the setup of the necessary technical environments for the recommended strategy

For this role it is essential that you have the following skills and experience:

•    Degree in IT, Information Management, or Knowledge Management with relevant experience.
•    Proven proficiency in relational database management systems and ETL tools.
•    Proven knowledge of data modelling techniques and data design.
•    Ability to interpret and build to design specifications as well as adapt where required.
•    The ability to work autonomously, be organised, team orientated, meet deadlines, demonstrate initiative and handle multiple tasks.
