Overview:
The University is seeking to appoint a full time child care assistant within the Boronia Centre. The successful candidate will have experience in working with children in the 2.5 – 3.5 year age bracket, be enthusiastic and dedicated to working within a team.

This is a Fixed term (4 months), Full time position based at the Nathan campus.

The role:
As a Child Care Assistant you will be expected to assist as a staff member and work as part of a team under the Director of the Centre in various aspects of the day-to-day running of the Centre's program.

Knowledge of, or experience with an open structure play based program is advantageous – willingness to learn about and support children in this program is essential. Salary is dependent on qualifications and experience. The ability to assume the Group Leader position when required is necessary.

The person:
The successful candidate must have a Certificate III in Child Care, hold a "Blue Card" and be able to work efficiently, have a sound knowledge of early childhood development, and demonstrate a high level of interpersonal skills.

Salary range:
Based on skills, knowledge, experience and qualifications.
