Extrusion Technician Apprenticeship - EGR

EGR is a world leader in the production of plastic automotive accessories and point of purchase merchandising.  With head office and 6 sites based in Brisbane EGR is one of the largest manufacturers of plastic products in Australia. We are currently seeking a Pattern Maker/Mould Maker to contribute to an ongoing workload.

We are currently looking for dedicated people to be trained in the operation of our three high tech, state of the art extrusion lines.  We are seeking candidates that thrive on a challenge, and get the job done! The successful candidate will complete a 3 year Apprenticeship to become an Extrusion Technician.

Extrusion Technicians manage a team of professionals and run state of the art machinery that produces flat sheet plastic. EGR Extrusion Division produces ballistics plastics, High grade optical plastics and a diverse range of flat sheet products for the construction Industry. OTE (Ordinary Time Earnings) for a first year Extrusion Technician apprentice will be circa 45K.

To be considered for this role you must meet the following criteria:
- Availability to work shift work
- Strong Mechanical aptitude
- Stable job history
- Legal right to work full time hours in Australia
- Previous machine operation experience

The business operates on a rotating 3 shift 5 day roster.  Regular over time will also be expected so a flexible approach is essential.

The ideal candidate will be reliable, honest and have a hardworking attitude. We are prepared to invest a great deal of training into successful candidates; therefore we are looking for people that are willing to commit to this position for the long term.
