This is a long term contract opportunity not to be missed! This role will commence towards the end of February for initially 32 weeks (approx 8 months) with an option to extend up to 12 months!
This is an excellent part time contract opportunity for a Java / J2EE Analyst Programmer to secure!
Working 3-4 days per week, you will work with other specialists working on this important project. This is an excellent opportunity for you to gain additional skills in applications management and apply your excellent support skills to undertake the reconfiguration of our client’s J2EE application.
As a capable Java / J2EE Analyst Programmer, you will assist in the configuration of an enterprise server application involving technologies such as Weblogic and OAS.
You will also assist with development and maintenance of an enterprise server application to meet specific business processes and requirements.
To apply, you must be comfortable to respond to the following Evaluation Criteria:
• Demonstrated experience in Java (J2EE), and technologies associated with database-driven web applications. In particular, experience with Hibernate, Apache Struts, Lucene, Oracle/SQL and various Java IDEs and a familiarity with enterprise application servers such as Weblogic and OAS.
• Demonstrated knowledge of HTML, XML, CSS and JavaScript.
• Knowledge of Flash, Jasper Reporting and AJAX technologies is highly desirable; or the ability to quickly acquire skills as required by the position.
• Experience of at least 3 years in Java Programming and other technologies. Past exposure to working within government agencies is highly desirable.
