Windows Systems Engineer - Peoplebank Australia QLD

We are currently offering a Windows Systems Engineer a dynamic working environment within one of Australia's largest global IT companies.

The Windows System Engineer works as part of the team responsible for the operation of customer Windows environments, tasks including:
•    Configuration and tuning of System monitoring and management tools
•    Investigation and Resolution of complex performance issues
•    Proactive maintenance
•    Incident and Service Request resolution
•    Execution of approved RFCs (Request for Change)

The Successful candidate

We are seeking outstanding individuals who are passionate about their career choice and possess high levels of initiative with the following experience:
•    3 years of commercial IT experience specializing in Systems Administration across a range of environments and direct experience in a Windows/LAN-based Enterprise environment.
•    Sound ability in one or more scripting languages
•    Developing knowledge of Exchange, IIS, Active Directory and other key Microsoft server technologies
•    Developing an understanding of network protocols particularly TCP/IP and exposure to Wide Area Networks
•    Basic Microsoft Systems/desktop administration/management skills.
•    Developing understanding of Microsoft back office products, particularly SMS.
•    Strong level of analysis/troubleshooting skill in Windows NT/2000/2003/2008
•    Skilled in Windows and Citrix Administration
•    Good oral and written communication skills.
•    Knowledge of security policies and procedures
•    ITO Service Delivery experience desirable
•    ITIL certification and/or experience desirable
•    MCSE 2000/2003 or  MCITP - ESSENTIAL
